Where the name comes from
ChargeSingh is more than just a name; it's a tribute, a legacy, and a symbol of inspiration. The story of ChargeSingh begins with a deep connection to heritage, family, and the values passed down through generations.
At its heart is a proud nod to Punjabi culture and heritage. The word "ChargeSingh" cleverly fuses the idea of charging, symbolic of energy and power, with the honorific "Singh," a name proudly borne by Punjabi men. "Singh" means lion, a representation of courage, strength, and leadership. The name embodies the spirit of progress, resilience, and forward movement, much like the EV chargers we provide to power a sustainable future.
The inspiration for the ChargeSingh logo is rooted in personal history. It draws from the legacy of Mr. Sarjeet Singh (LLN) of Malacca, grandfather of our Founder-CEO, Teacher Raj Ridvan Singh. He was a man who exemplified kindness, leadership, and community spirit. Known for his generous acts, he earned the respect and love of many, so much so that when he built his family home, people from all backgrounds came together to donate materials at cost, purely out of respect for him. It was a rare display of unity, especially at a time when such gestures were uncommon, and it left a profound impact on his family.
Why the logo wears a turban
The face in the ChargeSingh logo wears a turban, a symbol of pride and honour in Sikh culture. To Sikhs, the turban is a crown, a representation of dignity, self-respect, and responsibility. For our CEO, it's also a tribute to his grandfather, who wore his turban with pride. By incorporating this element, the ChargeSingh logo becomes a symbol of leadership, much like his grandfather was to his community.
