How to choose

Four questions decide which charger suits a home. If you are not sure of the answers, send us your car model and postcode and we will work them out with you.

Is your home single-phase or three-phase?
This is the one that rules a charger in or out. Most Malaysian homes are single-phase. The RSX-1K is single-phase, and the RDX-3 works on either, which is why it suits a home that may upgrade later. Your electricity bill or your DB board will say which you have, and we confirm it at the site visit.
How fast do you need to charge?
If the car sits at home overnight, the RSX-1K's 7.2kW is enough to fully charge most EVs by morning. The RDX-3 charges faster on three-phase, up to the rate your car can take, which matters for a high-mileage driver or a household with more than one EV.
Do you want to control it from your phone?
The RSX-1K connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so you can schedule and monitor charging from your phone. Scheduling is worth having if you are on a time-of-use tariff or you have solar and want to charge in your own peak hours.
Where will the charger go?
The distance from your DB board to the charger decides the cable run and whether anything has to be routed externally. Every installation price includes up to 15m of AC cable; a longer run is quoted after the site visit. This is the part most people worry about, and it is the part the site visit exists to answer.

“I was worried that from the DB to the place where I’m going to place my wall charger it may be complicated. They were definitely helpful.”
Loong Kin Leong, Volvo C40 owner

Installation is carried out by Social Empresa, our installation partner, under ChargeSingh project management. Their electricians are SIRIM and JKKP-certified.
